Redundency with Stratus ztC Edge
As modern factories continue to advance toward automation and system integration, reliability and connectivity have become increasingly critical. This trend makes redundancy an essential requirement in many scenarios.
A validated redundancy approach for Takebishi’s proprietary industrial communication software, DeviceXPlorer OPC Server, is to pair it with the fault-tolerant edge platform "Stratus ztC Edge" from Penguin Solutions Inc. (formerly Stratus Technologies).
Verified Construction
DeviceXPlorer OPC Server was installed on the redundant edge server, ztC Edge 250i. A data collection software, DeviceXPlorer Data Logger, accesses PLC data through the DeviceXPlorer OPC Server on the ztC Edge 250i.
The time required for failover during an error occurrence was measured.
