DeviceXPlorer OPC Server Ver.7.4.2 is released.

We released new version "Ver.7.4.2" of industrial communication software "DeviceXPlorer OPC Server".

In this version, various new functions have been added, specifications have been improved, and bugs have been fixed, so upgrading is recommended.

Main New Features

• Support for setting changes via global system tags, providing external configuration capability.
• Support for KEYENCE PLC KV-X500/X300 Series in the KV Ethernet communication function.
• Support for SOFIX meter reading system SOFIXCAN Ω EYE in the Modbus Ethernet communication function.

Main Improvements

• Changed the specification for double word device tag settings so that if the data type is less than short/ushort, the attribute is ReadOnly in the KV Ethernet communication function.
• Added support for multi-hop connection, enabling access to other station in the AB Ethernet and EtherNet/IP communication functions.
• Changed the specification to omit the initial packet that obtains the report structure when the read method on the port setting is ConfirmedService in the IEC61850MMS Ethernet communication function.

Main Bug Fixes

• Added a setting to the OPC UA server configuration that allows you to choose whether to grant full access rights to the Anonymous role in the OPC UA Server function.
  This fixes an issue where the user permission settings in the device properties were ignored, allowing any user on OPC UA clients to read and write regardless of permissions.
• Fixed the issue where clients monitoring a node by subscription were not notified of the quality change even if the node's quality flag became BAD in the OPC UA Server function.
• Fixed the issue where project files from Ver7.4.1 and earlier including EZSocket communication with Safety PLCs could not be opened in the MELSEC EZSocket communication function.
• Fixed the issue where double word devices are accessed as word devices in the KV Ethernet communication functions.
