[Ver.7] Messages such as “License not activated” are displayed and license activation fails

Symptoms

This message may be displayed when starting the DeviceXPlorer OPC Server.

 

In addition, the serial number cannot be entered on the license activation screen.

Cause

The issue is caused by communication being blocked between the configuration tool and the license manager.
The communication may be blocked due to one of the following reasons:
  • The license manager is not running.
  • Proxy settings.
  • Security software or firewall restrictions.

Solution

  • Please check whether the license manager (DeviceXPlorer7_LicenseManager) is running in the [Services] tab of Task Manager.
