How to use a license key in an environment where DeviceXPlorer OPC Server is not installed

Description

It is possible to use a license managed on another environment via the network from the environment where the product is installed (Remote License Server method).
For example, the following configurations are supported:

• Centralizing licenses for products installed on three PCs to a single PC acting as the license server
• Installing the product on a guest OS in a virtual environment and performing license authentication on the host OS license server

*The license keys used by the product (software keys or hardware keys) are registered and managed using the dedicated license management software “CodeMeter.”
License authentication is performed when the registered license is assigned to the product.

Applicable Products

This article applies to the following products. Please note that any products not listed below are not supported.

• DeviceXPlorer OPC Server (DxpServer) Ver.6 or later
• DeviceXPlorer Data Logger (DxpLogger) Ver.3 or later
• DeviceGateway on Docker (Software Version)
