Interoperability Workshop 2005 in Tampa |
The OPC interoperability workshop was held from April 25, 2005 to April 29, 2005 in U.S. Florida state Tampa, and two companies (our company and Yokogawa Electric Corporation) joined from Japan. There was participation from OPC-Europe, too and engineers of almost 30 company 100 product gathered from every country in the world, and the connectivity of the product that used OPC was confirmed.

OPC Unified Architecture Developer Conference 2005 was held in the Microsoft headquarters in Seattle last week, and OPC Foundation representative's Mr. Thomas Burke introduced the latest technology of OPC.
Because OPC-UA uses the WEB technology that doesn't depend on COM, it is possible to use it from the platform named UNIX and JAVA. Moreover, OPC-UA enables the access with the object base while OPC-DA had treated single data.
It was two weeks when a lot of engineers participated in the conference and IOP, and briskness was presented.
