Forward
This page is established for the OPC Server users who integrate their system and helps them to understand the OPC Server Response Ability.

# these data is the test report in our environment and we would not guarantee the value.

Test Method
# In this test, PC that works the OPC Server is connected with the PLC by 1:1. And the device is registered in a group as short tag and communicate with 'IsActivate = TRUE' / 'IsSubscribed = TRUE'.

# The measured value is the average for counted happening DataChange event in a time.

# The tested program (Visual Basic 6.0) measuring elapse time is here.

Test Environment (Tested on September 2007)
PC
CPU Pentium4 2.8GHz HyperThreading CPU
RAM 1GB
OS Windows XP Professional SP2
OPC Server Version Ver4.0.0.1
Process Priority NORMAL
OPC Thread Priority NORMAL
OPC Client Visual Basic 6.0 / SP6
UpdateInterval 1ms

KV
CPU KV-5000 Using KV-LE20A Protocol
Ethernet Module (included in CPU) 100BASE-TX
Scan Time Under 0.78ms The device value is changed every scan

# Access points is the continuous area of "DM".

# Measurements in the table are mean values for every five times of the communication respectively. "Frequency" is measured in addition repeatedly ten times. Therefore, the average value of the last line means the average of communicating 50 times.

# "128K Points / 8G" means that it registers by dividing the data of 128K point (1,310,720 points = 128 * 1024 points) into eight OPC groups and access.
