OPC System PC system in manufacturing came often to see the spectacle of the multitask that two or more applications operate on PC of one about 1995 year when Windows became a main current becoming natural, too and monitoring it on the watch screen in foreground while making the data collection program run by the background.

It is a point to have had to mount the program of the communication protocol of each application because there is no "Rule of interapplication communications" in which it is authorized to have become a problem this time. Of course, it was an equal situation to no whole manufacturing it though the level sharing that was the unit of the application such as an individual unit of the user, units of the factory, and units of PLC maker or SCADA was done. The software maker of manufacturing such as Microsoft, Rockwell, Siemens, and National Instruments and PLC maker's gathering in the United States under such a situation, and having been settled on are standard specifications "OPC" of interapplication communications. OPC is only "Specification", exists it, and is a no potato of shape. The product that mounts OPC is divided roughly into the OPC client product that offers the solution to the user such as the OPC server products and SCADA that rule the field equipment and the communication such as PLC.

What is the advantage for the user though it is OPC that came often to be heard recently? Moreover, it is likely to turn in what scene. Here, it explains plainly from a basic part of OPC to the latest technology. It would be greatly appreciated of seeing as for resting time etc. if information that can be helped even a little could be offered.
