I/O Server

InTouch Configuration

It introduces an easy setting example when Wonderware InTouch accesses the I/O Server.

NOTES
Our company does neither any operation guarantee nor the support for the sample code and each explanation that has been opened to the public to this site. The function is recommended to be verified enough when using it.

Definition of ACCESS NAME
InTouch Access Name

It sets it by menu "System" and "Access Name" of InTouch concerning the I/O Server. Even if which protocol is selected, it operates normally because our I/O Server is supporting both DDE and SuiteLink. When I/O Server that works with an arbitrary computer on the network is accessed, the node name is set. It is unnecessary to configure when using it by the standalone.

Tag Definition
Tag Definition

The device used with InTouch is registered like the above-mentioned. The setting of three places of "Access name", "Item name", and "Tag name" is indispensable. The access name specifies the device name that "Application name + topic name" and the item name become objects. The tag name is set thoroughly to the item name on the above-mentioned sample screen though the item name can be set to a comprehensible name as a tag name.
