DAServer has an advanced function like the hot configuration function and the diagnostic function besides the function to access PLC by a new communication driver that agrees with the ArchestrA technology of the Wonderware.
MELSEC Ethernet DAServer corresponds to Multiple CPU System, Redundancy CPU System, Process CPU, and all of other MELSEC series.

System Management Console (SMC) |

DAServer is a application running in SMC.
Always it was necessary to start each communication driver when it accessed two or more makers' PLC, and the taskbar was always always complex so far.
To solve such a problem, SMC consolidated the communication driver in one united consoles, and was developed as a platform where a common operation was able to be supplied.

Port Configuration |

On Port Configuration dialog, you can configure the physical communication interface.
You will use from COM1 to COM255 as COM port.

You can configure the target PLC information such as CPU type and network address.
Also you can access to MELSEC multiple CPU system or Redundant CPU System.

Topic Definition |

The topic name and update interval will be needed on DDE/SuiteLink communication.

TAG Definition |

It is not necesary to define the tag information when using PLC's "device name" such as "D100" or "M50."
But by using TAG Definition, you can standardize the system even if many maker's PLC are in your factory so it is possible to define the alias for each tag.
